About Phaedra

 

Phaedra Neely, Sole Proprietor of Sole Journey Reflexology, has been

in the Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) industry for over 15 years. Phaedra, a native of Raleigh, North Carolina, graduated from UNC Charlotte

in 1993 with a BS in Business Administration and concentration in Marketing.

After graduation, she trained at the Kristine Walker School of Reflexology

from 2000-2001 and lived in England for 10 years.

 

She became nationally certified in the UK and was a member

of the Association of Reflexologists (AoR). Phaedra was also a member

of the British Holistic Medical Association (BHMA) and participated in

Integrated Medicine/Primary Care workshops to bring doctor and complementary practitioners together. She continues to practice this idealism while working

with many wonderful clients, hospitals/health-care practitioners

and companies/non-profits in the Triangle area.

 

Phaedra returned to her 'roots in Raleigh in 2003. Her family (grandfather,

two aunts and uncle) were chiropractors. She is particularity proud to follow

in the ‘footsteps’ of her grandfather, who was a pioneer of chiropractic

in the 1920’s and practiced for over 50 years. She became an active member

of the North Carolina Reflexology Association (NCRA) in 2004 and nationally

certified with the American Reflexology Certification Board (ARCB) in 2006.

 

As a requirement for ARCB, Phaedra has taken many continuing education classes

in reflexology.  She has also explored other practices such as Touch for Health (TFH) and completed all four modules with the US Kinesiology Training Institute

in Chapel Hill in 2006. Phaedra was elected Treasurer of the North Carolina

Reflexology Association (NCRA) in 2014 and works with

other board members to increase awareness.
